Meta-analysis downloads

In this section you can download the MetaEasy Excel add-in, described in the Journal of Statistical Software (click here for the paper). The current version is 1.0.4 (see the changes and fixes document) and the module has been updated to work with Excel 2007 & 2010. Please report any problems and I will look into them as soon as possible. Note that the software has now been updated to work with both 32 and 64-bit versions of Office (2007 and 2010), for Windows (probably will not work on Macs unless in a compatibility environment).

The methods described in the above paper have also been implemented in Stata, with commands metaan and metaeff (to install in Stata type: ssc install <command name>). metaan decribed here with pre-publication version here.

A relevant study in which various meta-analysis methods were compared in different scenarios was published here and here. Pre-publication versions available here and here.

However, meta-analysis methods generally underperform and sensitivity analyses might be required which are available in Stata with the metaan package (please see here).

For one-stage individual patient data (IPD) meta-analysis we have developed ipdforest for Stata (decribed here with pre-publication version here).

A Stata command to calculate power for mixed-effects IPD meta-analysis models (ipdpower) is currently under review and will be available soon.
